The Mountaincrest Retreat spans an enormous 3754 sqft and features gorgeous hardwood flooring throughout the expansive great room, and breathtaking views of Mount Elden peek through the windows. A beautiful double sided gas fireplace with custom Alder mantle and a huge gourmet open kitchen make this home an ideal place for entertaining and preparing an evening meal for even the largest of groups. Three separate living spaces throughout the home make it easy to come together and enjoy some company or retreat for some relaxation time to yourself.

The gorgeous fully-equipped kitchen is outfitted with Soapstone Counters, beautiful custom alder cabinetry, and a large island with seating for four; making for easy meal preparation. The kitchen features luxury appliances, including built in Jenn-Air convection oven, microwave, and dishwasher, a side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker, coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishwasher, and a full compliment of cooking utensils and dishware. There is seating for four around the island for casual dining, as well an expansive dining room table that seats ten comfortably, as well as a nook in the loft with overflow seating for 3-5. The dining area sits conveniently off of the kitchen and provides room for everyone with plenty of ambiance as the fire roars.

An inviting porch off the front of the house overlooks beautiful Mount Elden and is a great place to sit, relax, and unwind after a busy day. Out back is a large deck with a BBQ and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy an evening meal. (Back patio furniture is stored in winter months)

Mountaincrest has an incredible 800 square foot Master's Quarters on it's own private level, complete with a luxury King bed, en suite bath, gas fireplace, and a wonderful seating area perfect for cuddling up to a movie or a good book, an evening conversation with friends, or simply enjoying the unobstructed mountain views. There is a comfortable couch, and the smart tv has a DVD player as well as Netflix, Pandora, and other apps for your convenience. The enormous master bath features a jetted Jacuzzi tub for two, a two person walk-in shower, and dual sinks.

There are four additional king guest bedrooms, as well as the bunk room. Two king rooms are on the first floor and three on the second floor, each with a beautiful king bed, dresser, bed side tables. The upstairs bunk room features two sets of twin over full bunk beds, and has a living area with a huge sectional couch, tv, video game console, and DVD player. Additionally there is a inflatable mattress that sleeps 2. This brings that total to 18 sleeping spaces.

Just minutes from I-17 and I-40, and surrounded by a variety of dining and shopping options, the Mountaincrest Retreat is the perfect home base for all of Flagstaff's attractions. The Arizona Snowbowl is a quick half-hour drive, and offers world class skiing at a family friendly resort. Grand Canyon is an hour's drive north, providing some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.

  Great home for our large group but not recommended for anyone who has difficulty with stairs or hills. The driveway is very steep and you must go up stairs to enter the home. Our group was young so this did not effect them. We had plenty of space and enjoyed our stay.

  This place was wonderful. Perfect for large groups. It is not wheelchair accessible. We had to carry grandma up and down the front steps. Her room was on the first floor and there is a bathroom there so it all worked out. We had the kids take adventure walks around the neighborhood since the backyard was a little too small for them to run around.
  The views from this property where beautiful. We saw several deer and huge buck grazing in the hillside behind the house.
  The only downfall of this nearly perfect place is the “nightmare driveway.” It is so narrow, uneven and super steep.

  The home is lovely, spacious and well furnished. The kitchen is large and can accommodate many people.
  There were a few small but culminating issues: the tub in the lower bathroom was very slow to drain so you stood in several inches of water while showering, it got a bit grimy after 3 of us showered for three days (we did let the owner know), the outlets in the kitchen are (based on other reviews)prone to flip breakers. This did happen to us while we were at work and as a result our dinner in the crockpot didn't cook so we ordered pizza. The water filter in the fridge was red and needed a change. There were some house cleaning issues - on the footboard of a bed there was a large grayish glob of goo dried, the doors need a good wiping and finally, the key pad for the garage did not work (also reported to the owner).I was instructed to be slow and deliberate when pushing the buttons and so I did indeed slow down and with great intention deliberately pushed the buttons but to no avail the doors did not open. This was only of concern because it was winter and the steps were icy- yes we applied the snow melt. It seemed attention to detail had slipped a bit in the house keeping dept. but all of these are an easy fix. We did let the manager know and he did respond to texts and made an effort to fix the tub however, we left before it was fixed so I imagine that problem is resolved.
  On a different note the stairs are very steep leading to the front door and coming up from the garage. I would be cautious if you have old or replaced knees or any sprains- it will be tough.
  The home is beautiful with fireplaces in bedrooms and large comfortable furniture. It can easily handle a large group with everyone having their own space. There is a long table where 7 of us comfortably ate and worked on our computers. I would recommend this property and I am confident the issues will be resolved but over all the experience was not excellent but good.

  Pros: Spacious interior, clean, well stocked amenities (towels, toilet paper, kitchen utensils and dishes, etc), 15$ Uber ride from downtown, outdoor deck area with grill and seating. Cons: Steep inclined driveway, WiFi was too slow to be usable, minor maintenance issues (refrigerator wasn't cooling properly and sink facet didn't work properly). This could be a pro or con depending on what you are looking for...the neighborhood is extremely quiet. Don't plan on any outdoor activities past 8 or 9.

  This was a great place for the family to stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, pans and allowed the family to enjoy having dinner at a home. The beds were super comfortable, and plenty of supplies were provided. Overall it was a great home with the perfect amount of space. The driveway is a little tricky, but were were able to manage getting up the driveway with the side having the longer ramp. While the stairs leading up to the home are a little steep, the stairs in the home are not. The stairs in the home are not overwhelming and spaced out perfectly. The neighborhood is very quiet and great views of the area and enjoyed seeing deer in the morning. Great place, very comfortable.

  It was a beautiful house and perfectly laid out for our extended family of 13. Check in process was very clear and easy. The house was clean and had plenty of towels, linens, clean up supplies, shampoo and soap. I really liked that the rooms were furnished with king beds, not just queens. They were quite comfortable. There was a little bit of wear and tear on the home, such as loose knobs and scuffs. Also, they were short on silverware. The driveways are very tricky to maneuver and I wouldn't feel comfortable parking my large SUV in the winter.

  The house was perfect! It was clean and had everything we needed. We had ages 3 to 86, and everyone was able to find their own space. The bunk room for the kids is the best, the kids loved hanging out in there. The master bedroom was perfect for my parents, they were able to escape and have quiet time. We seen deer laying in the back yard, and the breeze blowing through the pine trees made the perfect morning on the patio. The driveway is a challenge, but you can park in the street. The only thing I wish the house had would be screen doors, you get such a nice breeze with the front and back door open. The only problem we had was with the refrigerator leaking water. The water and ice feature does not work on the refrigerator, it might be time to look at a new one. I would recommend this house for any family or group.

  This home is spacious and comfortable. Many sleeping option made everyone happy and comfortable. Be aware there is no AC which is probably OK for a normal Flagstaff visit but the first night there was after a very unusually hot day in Flagstaff and the home is so large it does not cool off very fast. This is my only concern for the property, otherwise it met all of the expectations for a great rental home. Steep driveways and lots of stairs so consider that when bringing elderly family that does not get around very well. Once in though, it is very nice and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

We do have ceiling fans throughout the house, as well as some portable fans, so hopefully those provided some relief! As we suggest in our arrival information, it helps a lot to open windows at night and then close them, along with the shades, in the morning to keep the house cool during the day.   The accommodations here were great for a large group like we had (14 people). You can't go wrong with 5 king beds and the bachelors got the bunks. Worked out great!
  
  Only two negatives that I can think of. One can be addressed, the other unfortunately cannot:
  
  1. Be prepared to check in late (5:00 pm) and check out early (10:00 am). Other places we have rented on average have been somewhere in between 3-4:00 for check in and 11:00 for check out. Early check in and late check out were available for an additional charge, but didn't seem worth it.
  
  2. The second and it's been mentioned a lot in the reviews is the steep driveway. It snowed all day Saturday and basically rendered the driveway unusable, and we had all wheel drive vehicles. If there is no snow in the forecast, would definitely rent again, but if it snows, forget about using the driveway. Would make a great getaway in the summer.

    Thanks for the great review! This lovely home sits on a hill so the driveway is steep, but entering at an angle on the shallow side of the turnaround driveway is the way to go to avoid scraping! Once up by the garage there is plenty of room to park and even turn around out of the garage to go back out the ideal side of the driveway. We even find that compact cars don't scrape when entering this way! Checkin and checkout times are set based on the time that the cleaning company requires to get the house ready between guests.   From the second we walked in the door it felt like home. The home was large enough for our group and everyone slept comfortably on the wonderful kind beds. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds. Perfect location to everything. Great location to take walks on the golf course or just around the neighborhood. Just a $12 uber ride into downtown. It was great having our cars inside the garage to stay warm. All that could have been better would have been snow, but besides that it was one of our favorite family trips. We would definitely stay at this house again. Nothing to complain about at all. Getting in was easy and check out process was also. We can't wait to go back!

  My family and I had the great pleasure of staying at this beautiful home last week. In one word, “wow”. From the rooms to the view, it was quiet a remarkable place.   A group of 9 of us stayed at this location for a long weekend getaway to Flagstaff, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon. It was a great & spacious house that allowed for comfortable sleeping and some grilling on the back deck. The instructions on the door locks and everything else were very clear and concise. A drive to downtown Flagstaff took less than 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this house for a group that is looking for an affordable stay for a long weekend in the beautiful Flagstaff area!

  Everything was awesome, except the driveway and we wonder how anyone could use it in a normal vehicle. We all tried going up both directions and skidded or scraped, so we ended up parking on the street. That said, we loved the house, the kitchen, the location. It was a wonderful stay for everyone.

  Definitely pleased with the location of this home and the amenities that were provided. Its close proximity to Oak Creek Canyon and national parks such as Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest made it an ideal location. The reason we would not rent/recommend this property is the steep driveway. We had to park on the street and walk up the steep slope to enter the home. Scraped car/van bottoms. Ouch! Otherwise we had a pleasant stay!

    We are so happy that you loved the home and had a great time in Northern Arizona! This lovely home does sit on a hill so the driveway is steep, but entering at an angle on the shallow side of the turnaround driveway is the way to go to avoid scraping! Once up by the garage there is plenty of room to park and even turn around out of the garage to go back out the ideal side of the driveway. We even find that compact cars don't scrape when entering this way! We do appreciate your stay and hope you'll consider this or one of our other lovely homes for your next visit to Northern Arizona!

  We rented this house as a group for a youth soccer tournament our kids were attending in Flagstaff. The house is absolutely gorgeous and very spacious. Everyone loved the house!! The adults had ample room for themselves and to mingle while the kids had their own bunk bed room with TV. There were plenty of bathrooms to go around. Beds and showers were fantastic. The kitchen and seating areas were plenty big enough to accommodate our group for dining. The back patio was also very handy as we grilled one evening. If you're lucky you may even be greeted by some deer. On a couple mornings and evenings there were a handful of deer walking through, eating, or napping right outside the patio area. The kids thought that was pretty cool as being from Phoenix you don't see that often (ever really)!
  
  The only thing worth noting is the driveway. It is a pretty steep incline up the driveway, quite narrow, and there's not a lot of room once you get up there to maneuver around. The driveway goes through to the other side and comes back out to the street, a U shape. We had a few different sized vehicles (large truck, small SUV, car) and utilized the garage during our stay (which helped). One person had a small car that would bottom out when coming down the driveway so eventually they opted to park on the street. Just worth noting if you have a small, low to the ground car.
  
  Overall though I would definitely recommend staying here and if we get the chance to stay again, we will!! Thank so much for a great stay!
