Welcome to the Ridgecrest luxury vacation Chalet - Located in one of Flagstaff's most prestigious neighborhoods, Continental Country Club, the chalet is perfect for a quick weekend getaway or an extended stay. Only 5 minutes from Historic Downtown Flagstaff, yet tucked away in a quiet, serene environment, you can't help but feel at home soaking in the hot tub and looking out at the mountains in this wonderful luxury chalet.

The Ridgecrest Chalet features stunning Oak Hardwood flooring throughout a newly remodeled rustic great room and open chef's kitchen. Beautiful vaulted expanses of windows light up the entire house and provide breathtaking views of Mount Elden.

The gorgeous fully-equipped kitchen is outfitted with Black Galaxy Granite Counters, a built in cutting block, beautiful knotty alder cabinetry, and a large island with seating for 5; making meal preparation a social event. The kitchen features stainless appliances, including double oven, side-by-side refrigerator, built in microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishwasher, and a full compliment of cooking utensils and dishware. There is seating for five around the island for casual dining, as well a dining room table that seats up to eight.

A large, inviting deck off the front of the house overlooks beautiful Mount Elden and is a great place to grill out, eat an evening meal or unwind after a busy day. A wonderful 6 person hot tub overlooks Mt Elden, and is a perfect place to relax those tense muscles after a day exploring Flagstaff.

The chalet has a wonderful private Master's Quarters with a memory foam King bed, separate bathroom with full shower and bath tub, and an open air loft appointed with a full sized futon for an additional sleeping option. There are two guest bedrooms on the main level, one with a luxurious pillow top king bed, the other featuring a twin-over-full bunk bed and an additional twin bed. If more beds are desired, there is a queen sized pull out couch as well. The bedrooms are equipped with dressers, bed side tables, and a closet. TVs are connected to WIFI, and have ROKUs in guest mode for you to log into your own streaming services.

Just minutes from I-17 and I-40, and surrounded by a variety of dining and shopping options, the chalet is the perfect home base for all of flagstaff's attractions. The Arizona Snowbowl is a quick half-hour drive, and offers world class skiing at a family friendly resort. Grand Canyon is an hour's drive north, providing some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.

  Overall it was a nice property and the person managing everything was pretty responsive and fair. There were some issues with one of the beds being broken and the laundry door coming off the track. We brought this to their attention moments after checking in and doing a walkthrough. They ended up holding the security deposit, which they later refunded after referencing our conversation. That part was kind of a pain, but they always responded and were always professional.

  The location, while residential, felt resort-like, due to the nature of the neighborhood and the chateau itself.

  We had a wonderful 3 weeks in Flagstaff. What we especially liked about the rental was having the bedroom with King Bed on the first floor. My husband is handicapped and couldn't do the stairs so it was perfect. The evenings were cool enough to have a small fire in the fireplace to add atmosphere. We would have liked a table and chairs out on the porch to enjoy having dinner in the evening. We were able to take my husband into Flagstaff at the Museum on Thursday evenings for music and great food and social time.

  This is our second stay at the Chalet, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about it! It has everything we wanted in a winter vacation: cozy, comfortable cabin in the pines, with all the modern amenities you could ask for. Beautiful view, comfortable beds, nice kitchen with large island & huge dining table (great for dining & entertaining). Located close to DT Flag, grocery & gas, and a quick drive to Snow Park for sledding & only 30 minutes to Snowbowl. House is well taken care of, very clean and spacious. Owner & property management do an excellent job of providing a thorough guide list with instructions & details about the cabin to make your stay very easy & effortless. They are very friendly, prompt with response time, and professional. Bonus features: pet-friendly, beautiful fireplace, and awesome jacuzzi for relaxing after a day on the slopes! We hope to make this a regular vacation spot for years to come and highly recommend to everyone!

  Fantastic communication w/ property mgt company. This home is just as described in the listing and is perfect for a getaway. There is even a community golf course and restaurant/bar that is within biking distance. The patio has beautiful views out of the front that allow for relaxing. Worth noting if you are visiting in the summer, this home does not have air conditioning. There are plenty of Windows and a ceiling fan along with some electric fans should you need them. If you want to have dinner in downtown Flagstaff it is about a 10-minute Drive. If you want to bike, it gets a little sketchy because you need to cross a freeway using the bridge but it is doable once you get on the bike path next to the railroad tracks. A yummy restaurant within 5 minutes is Oregano's. We will definitely rent this home again should we visit this area!

  Overall we had a great time during our stay here. We stayed for three nights in December. The front windows as seen in pictures are gorgeous but there are no curtains inside so at night time, you have no privacy. Anyone can see into the house from outside. Curtains should be added to allow people to have privacy if wanted or needed. The rooms are all a great size. House is organized- even linen closet was nicely labeled. Bathrooms need to be a little updated. I don’t remember seeing pictures of the bathrooms.. maybe that’s why no pictures were posted? Overall we had a great time here and would recommend this place to friends.

  We arrived to this beautiful cabin in a nice, quiet neighborhood a few days before Christmas 2017. The pictures do not do this property justice. Such a cute and cozy home! We were in love with our selection of this property. We settled in, had plenty of room in the beautiful kitchen to make many good meals, we had hot chocolate by the fire, enjoyed the Jacuzzi on the patio. The beds are amazing! My mom actually scoped them out a little and has purchased the toppers for her own rental. Great nights sleep was had by all though it was pretty cold. From this cabin it is a 50 minute drive to the Grand Canyon. Who knew as a native of AZ I'd have to become a CA resident to ever get to the Grand Canyon! Ha. Stunning and a fun adventure for our family. Snowbowl had limited snow for boarding this year, luckily it was open but we only spent 2 of our 5 days on the slopes. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a calm and relaxing getaway with their families.
  what could be made better review:
  Could use a new can opener. My son and brother were tasked with opening any cans we needed to cook with as the spinning blade was not turning. This sounds ridiculous but as a family member of someone with a rental through VRBO we're always looking for anything and everything that needs updating. Couches are great quality and well kept but you can tell they are aged when you sit down. Not as comfy as I'm sure they once were. Also the heat was "locked down". Meaning we could turn it on but it was timed to go off. I've seen this app that allows owners to control temperature. Heating conservation was mentioned in the instructions for this property however I do feel that for the price we paid we should have a bit more liberty to determine the temperature in the cabin.

Kitchen supplies are hard to inspect on each cleaning, so thank you for pointing this out to us, the can opener has been replaced! We actually keep a spare in the maintenance closet just for these occasions, as they seem to not last very long! I'll take a look at the couches and see if there is anything we can do to spruce them up a bit - they were quite expensive so I'm hoping they don't need replacement already! I'm sorry about the thermostat issue, we don't have a program set to intentionally turn down the heat during a guest stay, but it's possible someone had created a program. I went through and deleted all of the automated programming and it's now set so that no one can create a program accidentally! That's a big help to hear about, as we never would have known without your review! We and all of our future guest thank you for this wonderful feedback!!!

  We had a great visit at this property! The house was very clean, comfortable, and in a quiet and dark area. We enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub, and bedrooms. There were a few small things that could be improved upon- the memory foam mattress in the upper bedroom was squeaky and difficult to get used to, the ceiling fan was a bit noisy (loose blade), and it would have been nice to include a $5 pack of firewood for use with the fireplace. A bit odd that when you pay a cleaning fee that there would also be a tip envelope for the cleaning crew.
  
  The location was great- a few minutes from downtown (about 20 around rush hour) but convenient enough to visit the Lumberyard, Beaver Street, Historic, Dark Sky, and Flagstaff breweries.
  
  Everyone was able to relax comfortably after a day of zip-lining and hiking. We had a great time:)

Thank you for pointing out the ceiling fan blades, we made sure to adjust and tighten them all so it's no longer off balance! :) We actually used to include firewood at the home, but found that many guests were taking it all home with them and depleting our supply so we had to stop offering it :( There are many local stores and gas stations that sell bundles, and our arrival information packet includes that information. The tip envelope is purely optional, the cleaning staff work very hard to do a thorough cleaning and inspection both before and after your stay, and provide a small gift basket of snacks and coffee, etc as an extra welcome. If you see fit, you can leave them a gratuity, and if not, there are no expectations! It sounds like you had a great time exploring Flagstaff's attractions, it's truly an amazing place to be!!!   This was a perfect property for our group, we loved the location, and the house was incredible! The soaring windows and the unbelievable kitchen were a focal point, and the hot tub looking at the mountains was the icing on the cake! We will be absolutely be back!
